Conclusion: I loved it and can't wait to come back.
Worst experience ever. I am a graduate student attending one of the surrounding the university. Upon receiving my payment the waitress was Very rude and the service was distasteful. Sadly my guest and I was treated badly due to the color of our skin. We are African Americans and the waitresses as well as the manager did very poorly treating us fairly. We were belittled and embarrassed. We was treated unfairly. The overall experience was awful... if you are African American or have any melanin in your skin I warn you not to go to this restaurant because they will make you feel similiar to how my ancestors felt as slaves. DO NOT GO To this restaurant. To add fuel to the fire the manager was also racist and poorly handled his staff.
Facility/Restaurant: Beach volleyball, corn-hole, swimming pool, live music, two bars, full food menu. Note that depending on where you sit is self-service. We sat in the self service section but asked that a waitress come by here and there for refills and such. We also had no issue going to grab another drink when her section started to pick up.
Staying couple blocks away from coconut's. I heard good music coming from there, so wife and I decided to go for dinner. We took my youg daughter with us, she also in handicapped and in a wheelchair. The security staff was excellent about helping us get seats. The waiter and rest of staff was just as accommodating. Drinks came fast, food was good. Thanks, coconut's for a good evening.
Had a super long wait before being seated. Hostess couldn't even tell us a wait time. Good food and not a long wait time for food though. Not a big selection of drinks. But other than that it was fine.
Food/Drink:. Our server pitched her favorite menu items and we obliged. The Shrimp Tacos were on-point and the Creamsicle Crush was perfect for a hot sunny day..or about 3 of them ; )
Location: A good-spirited walk from the Boardwalk. 37th Block.
Listen, it's a beach bar. It is what it is. But they do a good job with a selection of food and beverages. Live acts are spot on and service is what you would e,pet on busy summer evening. So cut the staff a break. Highly recommend the grilled chicken tacos. It's a fun time.
Experience: There was a husky and we have two at home. This made us miss our little guys so much and was such a warm experience to hang with another from their ancestral pack. Everyone was so chill and relaxed that it felt like a home away from home. We could have spent the entire vacation here and we may just do that when we come back to Ocean City as it's also a hotel.
