Food was great and the waitress was wonderful. The bartenders are very rude. They wouldn't acknowledge us and wouldn't wait on us.
The name is perfect Rare & Rye. Rarely do I walk into place and get blown away. The ambiance, the smell, the bar, and not to mention being greeted by the manager. I sat down and looked at the menu and the choices are amazing. I went with the duck breast and it was an excellent choice. I would highly recommend it and I will back for the much talked about short ribs.
Neat establishment. Solid location, well designed, and clean. Outdoor seating available. Definitely check out their specials, as we all excitedly ordered the strip steak when our server mentioned it. But, I think they all came out a bit off from our requested temperature. Likely just a one-time thing, and definitely would return. Check this place out if you're craving a hearty meat meal, but note that, with alcohol and a appetizer, the bill could quickly eclipse $100 for 2.
The decor of the place is classy but still good for casual dining. The menu is definitely the highlight of this place as it is unique. The choices are experimental in combining ingredients much like what you will experience in some New York City restaurants. I do advise trying their recommended foods on their menu, which are highlighted such as the lamb lollipops and baked oysters with brie appetizers.
This place had a really great and trendy atmosphere. The mixed drinks we ordered were a little heavy on the liquor which made my wife's not very drinkable. Soup and appetizers were great. My only complaint was that my Steak was not seasoned at all - even a bit of salt and pepper would have done wonders. Also, it was a very fatty steak. Overall, I probably shouldn't have ordered a steak in a seafood town!
