One of the best things about ocean City MD is the thrasher's fries great staff great prices and the most important thing is there the best fries around
I was looking forward to trying Thrasher fries when I arrived in OC yesterday. I checked their website and it announced at it was open from 10 AM to 12 midnight. I walked down the boardwalk from 13th Street my taste buds at the ready! Arrived there and found it closed up tight as a drum at 5 PM on Friday! No signs at all. I called their number and got a vague voicemail message with no hours of operation. I guess they went out of business after all these years. Sorry I missed them! I know I won't be back.
Supposed to be open until midnight but closed at 9 pm. Great way to treat your potential customers.... I won't be visiting any of your locations and I'll make sure no one I know does.
While the fries are delicious WARNING they are cooked in peanut oil and there are no signs to let you know this. My son grabbed and ate one before I could even ask. I asked because of the dark color of them. Luckily he only needed benadryl and not his epi pen. If you have someone with an allergy there are no signs up. Actually many establishments on the boardwalk cooked in peanut oil with no warnings at all.
Not as good as I remember. Greasy and soggy, I think undercooked because they are so busy. Definitely overpriced at $5 for a Small, $8 medium $11 for a large.
