I really enjoyed Longboard Cafe, my boyfriend thought the atmosphere was a little fancier than be prefers. We were seated outside, I can see how some people may have feel a bit cramped. We had a table for 2 and it was cozy. The bread was so good but I didn't love the olive oil, I would have preferred a more delicate version. I thought the oil they use had a fairly in-your-face flavor. I really liked my halibut, prepared Nawlins style. My boyfriend got a burger and said it wasn't bad but wasn't anything to rave about. He's sort of a burger snob though and likes them greasy so that wasn't a shock. He also got the beer sampler and liked 2 of the featured (local) flavors. The owner and chef both came out throughout the evening to greet customers and make sure everyone was enjoying the cafe. I say give it a try, the boyfriend says there are other places he'd rather spend $60.
9/18/17-this was the first time my sisters and I ate here. It was recommended to us by two different people. We all got different meals and each one was so delicious. Our waitress Kim was wonderful. She was knowledgeable about all the food and recommendations. Kim provided us great service. We will definitely go back there to try other dishes and we will tell our friends to eat there too.
This place has upscale food, for accessible prices. I had the delicious adult grilled cheese, which has brie, pork belly and onion jam on sprouted wheat toast. My husband had a burger that was well cooked and seasoned. The fries were nice and crunchy. The crab flat bread had a fair amount of crab and wasn't too heavy on the sriracha. There is an outdoor dining with umbrellas area as well as an indoor dining room. There isn't much of a view, but you can't fault them for it.
Long line, so we sat at the bar and had a great meal. Best fish tacos we could remember anywhere, "layers of flavor." My Longboard burger was amazing with the fried egg on it and a side pasta salad seasoned just right. We each got a side salad, both very fresh with excellent homemade dressings. We will be back soon and recommend it to our friends.
Awesome food! Always fresh, always presented nicely, etc... Just wish there was more food for what you pay for! A bit pricey for salads, sandwiches, and wraps. Pasta salad is always incredibly fresh! ❤️❤️
