Nice ride but Rocket and Speed should be removed from the name. Max speed I saw via GPS was 30mph. Would have been nice to hear those "750hp" Detroit desiels work a little harder.
this has to do with what I just witnessed today 7/28/2017 at 11:50 this morning. I live on 48th street and have ALWAYS enjoyed watching the Rocket slow down and show the folks the dolphins. This morning an extremely large pod was swimming by and the Rocket Sped right through--NEVER slowed down --REALLY--go around if you are not going to slow down --NEVER let up on the throttle. Thank heavens they are bright animals and get out of the way when a stupid human is involved. Sorry -but one sighting like this and I am disappointed as was my husband and all of our company.
A staple of my annual trip to Ocean City! A must-do. The crew members are engaging and pleasant, and the ride itself is exhilarating!
The OC Rocket is the best speedboat ride in Ocean City! We take a ride every time we visit the area! The crew is great! They always take their time to make sure it's a good ride. We love when there are dolphins! They love to play in the wake behind the boat! We always get a little wet too! Nothing like a little salt water splashing on you and the cool wind whipping through your hair! Highly recommend! Very reasonably priced! The ride is about an hour!
Dolphins played in the wake of the boat! And the captain obviously loved being on the ocean and having us aboard. We ride every year now!
