Slightly dangerous with a likely possibility of being annoyed by the police, but loads of fun! I recommend you obtain clear eye protection, as the police will make you ride with sunglasses on at night to prevent eye injuries.

Mixed emotions regarding Scooter By the Beach. Several years ago, friends and I rented a set of three scooters for around $100 each. Looking back on it, the process of renting a scooter at sixteen went super smoothly; however, the police in this city, admittedly target the riders due to "trying to prevent kids from dying on them" and "getting these shops out of town." Nevertheless, we had a blast riding up and down coastal highway all day. At one point, a scooter ran out of gas and an employee met us to refill the gas tanks.
