Atmosphere was great. Romantic dining with table lamps in Afonsos reastaurant on sight. Piano bar, and rocking chairs on front porch
We've stayed here before. We absolutely love the charm and quirkiness of this place. The artwork, the furnishings are amazing. The rooms are clean comfortable and spacious. And the VIEW! WOW! Its right in the middle of the action, right on the boardwalk, yet if you want a quiet place to retreat this is your place. One of the best places we've stayed in Ocean City.
If you like the Boardwalk, you could do worse. This is a very typical OCMD Boardwalk hotel. The rooms are clean though and there is an interesting ambiance with the piano bar, rockers on the porch, restaurant and a little pub below. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. But be warned, the walls are thin and the sun does let in a good amount of outside noise so if you are a light sleeper, you might want ear plugs. Door keys are actual keys and there are no fridges or microwaves in the regular rooms. The staff is pleasant though and you don't stay on the boardwalk for the luxury room, do you?
Wonderful place with the old time hotel feel. I would say best for just adults alone with no kids. This hotel is older, so if you have kids a more modern hotel would suffice. Also would suggest the ocean front rooms. AMAZING view! Watch the water temp in the shower. It gets cold very quick but all in all, it was a great experience.
It was like stepping back in time.
If I could rate it a zero I would. I walked in the room and immediately got on the phone to reserve another hotel. The pictures are not what anything looks like. It smelled , the room was dirty. There was a hole in the wall. I'm not picky by far but there was absolutely no way I would stay there
