I stayed here from Sept.17-20 with my parents and 6 month old son for my birthday retreat. I had a fantastic time at this resort. 1) Roxanna and Richie were the best front desk staffs I've encountered to represent their hotel. I say this because for 3 years in a row I travelled every 2 weeks until I delivered my son in February, 2017. Being a first time mom has been a challenged and all I wanted I wanted was to relax on a comfy hotel for my birthday. Everyday I would leave and entered the hotel, both Roxanna and Richie face would bright up when they see my son. 2) The location was a pluse. 3) the Jacuzzi in the bathroom was used 3 times a day by me. I loved the fact that my body was always relaxed in that bathroom.
Overall experience was not too bad. Customer service was ok, didn't speak a lot nor greet a lot. My car was hit in the parking lot, and there was no cameras in the lot. The lady that handled the breakfast was kind of snobby. Rooms were clean, room service did a good job keeping the room tidy. I did ask for late check out beings we were not leaving to come home til later in the afternoon, but was only granted an hour as opposed to the 3pm check out as I've read people have been granted, so that was a bummer. If I had to do it again I would probably stay there during events, but outside of events I would recommend going elsewhere for the money you spend.
the hotel room was clean and very spacious. It had a sink, microwave and refrigerator off the sitting area which was very convenient. The breakfast was good- nice variety and the dining room was clean. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The outside appearance of the hotel was very shabby and the beds were very uncomfortable but other than that it was fine.
Staff was pleasant. Breakfast had a selection of different foods. We had the king suite. I was expecting a separate, private room. It was to the back of the suite, but no door separating from the front living area. Bed was very firm, but comfortable. The sofa bed was not comfortable. Easy walk to the beach across the street.
Cons:
Great staff and clean. However, the bed was very uncomfortable and should be replaced. The bed is a very important part of the stay to ensure good rest on your vacation but did not sleep well here. Everything else was good. Also, wish there was an indoor pool.
This resort doesn't have a pool. However, the Jacuzzi makes up for it. Plus, I went to swim in the beach, not the pool so it didn't matter. Secondly, their beds wasn't so comfy. Maybe because I own a sleep number bed and I'm used to something more softer. Thirdly, the breakfast was good for my parents, but not for me. I am vegan and even though they had apples and oranges, I didn't eat any-non organic fruits and food affects my son since I nurse. I really wished they had fried potatoes. Overall, I had a wonderful time at this resort and I say you should try it out.
