Nice place. Clean, smallish. Good for the price. Right near the water. Comfy beds. Can't complain. They're was a pool & some place for renting paddle boats maybe surfboards that i don't know if was open but looked cool. Would consider booking again.
When we first walked into our room, it smelled of mildew/mold. It was overpowering without the a/c running.
We got woken up to the neighbors having sex at 4am because the walls were paper thin. Sounded like the upstairs people were going to fall right threw the ceiling.
SO I guess what I'm saying is, I expected a little more with the reviews and $177/night. Next time, we will pay the $400/night for a better quality room.
Beds were very comfortable except for the blankets, they were kind of rough. Also the floor was very sandy, as if no one sweeped or vacuumed. Otherwise, the experience was great. The pool was nice and clean. It's a very quiet and reserved place, which is only a few minutes away for the beach. I would recommend it.
First off, we went down for my birthday weekend with our 4 month old. Just checked out yesterday. We picked this place because the reviews seemed good. They did move our room to a first level room so we didn't have to do stairs with the baby, so that was nice to accomodate the baby.
Every time we passed the neighbors room, it reeked of marijuana. Mind you, I'm carrying my baby passed their door to get to my room.
Another thing, I decided to take my 4 month old into the swimming pool since there was nobody in when we arrived. We walked over and there was college boys with a huge cooler of beer just having a great time. I didn't feel comfortable having her in so I dipped her feet in and we left the pool area.
Rooms are small, but cozy. Average, well kept motel. If you bring bug spray there's a nice lake you can sit next to and relax. I would recommend it if only for the price and the closeness to Ocean City.
Then when we were cleaning up to checkout, I tied the garbage bags so the cleaners didn't have to smell my babies dirty diapers. The bathroom had a used condom in the bottom of the trash can. GAG.
If you're looking to get the most bang for your buck then this is the place to go! I reserved a 4 night stay at Long Acres and was very impressed with my visit. The views are excellent and it's in a quiet and secluded area that's close to Walmart, Wawa, McDonald's and other major establishments that people love. Best of all, it is a 5 minute drive from the boardwalk and the beach. Even better, there is an island FULL of HORSES about 30 minutes away with plenty of sight seeing you can't get anywhere else on this side of the United States. There are beautiful beaches there too! Long Acres has excellent staff and provides a peaceful atmosphere suitable for all individuals and families. The pool and the area were very clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with good climate control. The cable TV and the mini fridge are excellent as well. It may not be a luxury resort but it's the best deal around. Other places charge double, if not more for the same service. Bring the family to a cottage, or book a room for a couple... YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
