The price was right. And one block from boardwalk. My shower was bad. Just a trickle of water. Also had a water leak on carpet and it took half a day for them to clean it up.
Good quality and location for price! This is our third time staying at the Monte Carlo. Location is great. Located close to boardwalk and attractions. Staff is pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The rooftop pool is one of our favorite amenities! The view is beautiful! The pool is perfect to lounge and for kids to play in because it is only 3 feet deep. This is were our daughter learned to swim! So the Monte Carlo has a special place in our hearts! I would rate the rooms as fair for cleanliness. But everything works, shower water is great temperature always. Air conditioning is great! Nice kitchenette. And we love ❤️ the balcony!!!
If you want to go convenient location and friendly staff, this is fine. However you get to deal with moldy rooms(we had to change ours) a dead rooftop bar that runs out of ice and lemons, a dirty pool, bathtub backs up( they leave you a plunger so you can take care of it yourself) and dirty rugs. Over priced for what you get.
Stayed here 3 times over 2 years so far and really like it. Excellent value. Decent rooms, indoor pool, rooftop pool with views of all of OC, and a small hot tub on roof. Rooftop bar too. Limited breakfast in lobby. Just muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, juice, coffee, sometimes donuts. Close to all of downtown.
Never again. We visit Ocean City, MD several times a year and usually try different hotels. This is by far the worst after 10 years of visiting. The room was dirty. Nothing was dusted. The inside of the coffee pot water reservoir had black mold. The bed visibly sagged in the middle. We had one washcloth. The elevator quit working. There were piles of soiled linens and mounds of stinking trash bags in the hall near our room for nearly 24 hours after check in. I asked the desk lady what was going on, and she said she was the only person working in the entire hotel that night and they were very short of staff. To her credit, she did get us more washcloths quickly even though she had to leave the desk unattended to do so. I'm seriously appalled by this hotel.
