Good place
The management is dishonest and incompetent. We stayed at Monte Carlo Suites on July 3-5, 2015, and will never stay there again. We were given a room that was not clean, and then the front desk moved us to another room. The next day on our way to the beach, we overheard another family talking in the parking lot. They had just arrived at the hotel and mentioned their room number, which was our room number! Immediately called the front desk and told them that they had given someone else the keys to our room. We were informed that the other family had a larger group, and the room we were moved to was for them. They said they would clean the room we were originally given the night before when we checked in, so we could move back into that room.
Stay away from Monte Carlo Suites at all costs!!
Brand new hotel. Excellent service and right on the boardwalk. Has both indoor and outdoor pools. Hot tub indoors. Balcony's every room. Outdoor pool on roof. I like it!
When we checked out on July 5, April at the front desk refused to refund any of the money we paid for staying there, and we paid $750 per night! April told us to follow up with Don, the owner, via email to see what he would be willing to do for us. I sent Don two emails and to request a partial refund, and never received a response.
This is a great hotel for the price. The shower pressure was a bit weak though.
When we objected to being inconvenienced due to the hotel's poor management, we were falsely accused of being 'difficult, ' and subjected to verbal abuse. I spoke to the owner, whose name is Don, and he yelled at me and told me he was going to 'put us out on the street and keep our f@*king money.' Yes he really said that to me. The front desk manager named April is a liar, and said that they had been trying to contact us all morning to switch rooms. But that wasn't true, and they only realized the mixup with the rooms when we called and told them the problem.
