I've been staying here every summer since 1996. We've stayed in each of their different buildings and have never been disappointed. A sweet family owned establishment that still carries the wicker rocking chair charm of Ocean City's earlier days. Great continental breakfast offered in the lobby every day.
Our experience with this hotel was tainted due to the smoking they allow on their premises. With the hot, humid, summer weather there is nothing more disgusting that sitting on their wonderful porch with our young children and elderly parents and then be enveloped in cigarette smoke. There are times that it was so unbearable that guests got up and walked onto boards for a breathe of fresh air.
When my husband and I arrived here, the young man at the front dest was very kind and spoke very highly of the hotel itself.
I can 100% guarantee that my husband and I will be back next summer.

The Lankford Hotel is wonderful and so quaint. For the low price I paid, i was skeptical, but they have exceeded my expectations. Right on the boardwalk of Ocean City, MD, The Lankford Hotel has the homey feel of your grandmother's house. I love that I can sit on the upper balcony and watch the beach and the boardwalk hubbub. Sitting on the upper deck or lower balcony at night when the boardwalk starts to wind down is so peaceful. I sat and read (or at least attempted to with my husband talking my ear off) on the upper balcony at night enjoying the cool ocean air and listening to the waves.
Great location. Super friendly staff. The room was small, the bathroom was small, but it was just my wife and I so it was fine. Beautiful balcony view! Nice continental breakfast. Room was clean and a very friendly atmosphere. No frills, but would stay again.
This is my third time staying at the Lankford Hotel and I just love it ...The staff is great , the rooms are so clean... I park my vehicle and can walk or take the bus anywhere I want to go... ,,, Thrashers fries , and Alaska just next door... bikes to rent in the morning at the hotel... pizza place just down the street......everything you could want.. in one great hotel... Once again I want to thank the staff,, and yes I have my makeup wash clothes.. and I am wearing my Lankford Tee shirt today......... See You Guys Soon... Best Wishes for a very Happy Summer...
