People staying in the second building did complain about the fire alarm going off all night. Not the first time it happens according to previous reviews. Overall, wonderful!
We stayed in the 2 king bed suite located in the main building. We loved it! The room and bathroom were both very clean. Nothing fancy, but exactly what we were looking for. We spend more time outside of the room anyways! Two cons: 1)Parking in front is limited. They do have a lot located two blocks away with extra parking. 2) Only one elevator for the entire building.
WTG Tidelands in making certain a guest always comes first. It gets recognized! We will stay there next summer for sure!!!!!
So I stay at their sister hotel - The Ambassador Inn. I needed to print out an important bank document but the Inn could not assist. They suggested I go to Tidelands.
We had a booking issue and ended up having to switch rooms in the middle of our stay. The first room faced a pool and deck bar that was closed for the season but the room was very large. Two mini fridges, small stove, microwave and toaster. The tub was a sudo hot tub jet style with lots of space. I believe they may be working on that end of the hotel because there was incomplete silverware, everything was unplugged from the walls and the desk was completely shut down for that side. The second room is smaller but has a great little balcony and a wonderful view of the beach and pier. The tub is a much smaller regular tub and the beds are queen instead of Kings like the other side. The King beds felt softer but the pull out sofa bed is better in the new room than the previous one. The kitchens were comparable but only one mini fridge in the second room. Wifi is adequate for web browsing and videos but not meant for heavy data usage. It's a quick walk to the inlet and it's nice to see the Kite Loft which is only a few doors down. Front desk staff has helped us through the booking issue so far and supplied things that have been missing from the rooms. The shower seat supplied for an elderly guest did not fit the second tub and showed signs of bending from previous use. I'd stay here again.
I approached the front desk and spoke to a 'Michael H'. Told him my issue and without hesitation, he gave me access to a monitor and keyboard to print out my document.
This hotel is so clean and upscale. Kid friendly. Great prices and very helpful staff. Definitely my go to hotel at ocean city. Not even going to be shopping around. This is it!!!!
.
One of the best hotels in Ocean City, MD. The rooms are great, two pools and very well kept. The supervisor Michael is very helpful and goes out of his way to make you stay a good one.
